If you are reading this page you are not here by accident. You see, there is only one thing that seperates man from God. That one thing is sin.
You may be saying to yourself that "I am a good person, so why do I need a plan for my salvation". The Bible tells us that all mankind was born sinners, and it tells us that sin seperates us from God.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
We live in a society where people are punished for how bad they are and rewarded for how good they are. So it may be difficult to make sense how a good person can be sent to a place of torment and destruction for eternity.
You may be thinking that you need to get things back on track and try to live better so you can make yourself right with God. But this is not what the Bible tells us.
"God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
For you to come to God, you have to get rid of a major problem in your life. SIN. But God says that you can't make yourself right with Him by being a better person.
"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." Titus 3:5
It's is by the grace of God that you can come to Him. There is nothing that you can do to work your way to Heaven. Salvation is a FREE gift.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
There is payment for sin. That payment is death. But the gift of God is eternal life.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
You see, Jesus paid the price for our sin. He gave His life on a cross for our sins and on the third day God raised him from the dead. Jesus bore our sins on the cross and conquered death and the grave.
Our part is just to accept Jesus' free gift of salvation.
"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
Being saved (believing in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior) means that you will spend eternity in heaven with God.
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
You may ask how can I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and be saved. You must first recognize that you are a sinner and without Jesus you would be lost and on a road to hell. You must believe that Jesus came to Earth in human form to to die for our sins and He was crucified on a cross and was raised from the grave on the third day. Believing this you need to sincerely ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to come into your life. The prayer below will guide you through the process.
Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to conquer sin and death for me. Right now I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to you. Jesus, dwell in and take control of my life, forgive me of my sins and save me. I thank you for coming into my life and saving me. Amen."
If you just prayed this prayer and meant it Jesus has saved you from your sins and is now residing in your heart. Your decision to follow Jesus means that God has forgiven you of your sins and you will spend eternity with Him.
We would love to know if you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you have prayed this prayer and have accepted Christ's free gift please contact us by mail or email and we will send you some information and help you to find a church in your area to become a part of.
