Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Ultimately, as a people of God we must know God’s Word, understand God’s Word, and obey God’s Word. There is a tremendous difference between “knowledge based” discipleship and “obedience based” discipleship. One is of the mind, while the other is of the heart and feet. Furthermore, a local church must have a vision or revelation from God of why they exist and what has He called them to do for His glory both locally and globally. We believe that this assembly of believers on the HILL exists to Glorify the LORD (Worship), Grow in the LORD (Discipleship), and Go for the LORD (Evangelism)! It is our desire to proclaim the “Good News” of Jesus Christ and to see lives transformed by the Word of God and the Work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that a healthy Christian is one who lives in the Spirit, walks in the Word, and is actively serving through the church. As a church family we must be obeying the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-40), fulfilling the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) and offering the Great Invitation (Matt. 11:28-30).
